First, we started off with orientation
I remember sitting at the front with Angeline on the first day, with Huazheng behind us. I remember him as the act cool guy who has the same W910i as Angeline. Then there's Eugene, the super loud guy who can complain about practically every single thing. And then Yujing from wrecko, whose name I thought was Weijian at first. And Bryan, the guy who got saboed badly during wrecko because he's one of the few who has an English that everyone can remember. My first impression of Jeline was after the volleyball trials, we were done first and we started chatting. And then there's Zijun, Jiamin and Antoinette, from when we were practicing 我不配 for campfire, the tall people who cannot stop laughing. And Ruo Fei, whose profile looks a lot like my sister. And Yixian, the person who have the same initials as me, who I wanted to be best friends with so we can tell people we're the CYXs. :P And of course there's the malay guy in our class, Roy. ;)
I remember how I hated the fact that our form teacher's a guy. I wanted a female form teacher. I remember the annoying flies on the grass during our first morning assembly. That was all I can focus on for the assembly. Remember when Zeming and the other male SC came into our class and create fun? The W in the War cheer? Remember the campfire? With 我不配 and Get High, which got the cohort really high indeed. Remember our skit we had to do for some performance before the campfire? Remember (I forgot whether it's campfire or the skit), where Enqi was in between us, hidden by us, and the epic ending to our performance? "知道啦， ahma!" With that, orientation ended. I still cannot figure out how we got 1st overall, but that prize was aweseomeeee.
And lessons started, I remember sitting behind Eugene and beside Bryan. With Jiamin on the other side of Bryan, and Angeline in front of him. Oh, and Yixian sat in front of Eugene! ;) So the bunch of us will always be joking around during lessons, me kicking Eugene's chair constantly XP, calling Yixian to hit him for me, asking Bryan for help in Maths, making up the scandal between Zijun and Fengxian. Can't remember the reason for the scandal :P And Eugene's many nicknames: Uji, oily chicken, etcetc
OMG, these were great memories. Eugene, not bad uh ;)
Ok, so when lessons resumed. I remember how horrible CID was, with our CID teacher. ;) Remember Aesthetics Dance? Mr Soh? Remember the dances? Do y'all realised that Mr Loh's step ups began right at the beginning of last year? Yes, we've done step ups for a whole 2 years. :O Remember D&T? Remember Com lesson where we learned HTML first?
Remember our very first CNY concert? It was super boring to me, we were stuck at LT1 while the seniors were at the hall.
I'm so glad our class blog was created early, there's lots of memories on this blog. Remember the first bug that got to our class? A few people fell sick together. The sick bugs spreads very fast in our class, one person falls sick and the next day there would be more sick.
I realised we used to go for lunch at LJS quite often at the beginning of last year. :O Remember when Jeline and Angeline and I gave y'all chocolates for Valentine's Day?
Then there's PSS, where we were always so noisy. I remember some of the guys were very sian by PSS and will be like ponning PSS. Do y'all remember the tall structure we had to built? And the chair game, where we had to prevent our PSL from sitting on the only empty seat?
Remember history lessons with Mr Lai? There would either be soccer talk between him and Yujing or a question on whether he himself or Jay Chou is more handsome. Then there is Geog lesson with Mrs Ong, where there would always be lessons. Remember the dreadlock story?
Remember when we were all working hard with our duties to get the "A" for cleanliness grade? Remember when we spammed can tabs and newspapers, ending up to be the class who contributed the most can tabs and newpapers?
Remember when we had the interclass Captain's Ball matches? We were like the top class in Y1 for awhile.
Remember CID Rocket launching, when we cheered like hell?
Remember when Eugene missed like 2 weeks of school because he was hospitalised? The class was like so much more quiet. :P
Remember IU Day? I wasn't around due to CCA, I think, but I bet you guys had a lot of fun that day. Not forgetting the days before IU Day where we prepared so hard for it. I remember Quek Ying and Bryan and their section went all the way to City Hall late in the afternoon (After CCA?) to get the food for IU Day. I remember working with Nicole to get the ppt ready for presentation. Antoinette and Bryan modeled for the outfits, right? And we were the best in sports! Another achievement for 1H!
The boat for IU DAY!Then comes H1N1 period where we had to bring thermometers everyday. And also the Relay system was started, which flopped in the end. :P Also, MYEs, where we went to koufu/ljs for lunch after our exams everyday.
After MYEs, our first class outing to ECP, which was a fail one, with only 11 people attending the outing. But it was, we played from morning to night. I remember ending the outing with bowling, with Yixian and Wanxuan. Wanxuan and Kirsten were the only PSLs who went with us
Do y'all remember the hampers we had to do? Pet food one, Food from the heart one, CNY have also, I think?
Then we have the library CIP. We were splitted into the morning and afternoon groups. I bet both groups had lots of fun during their individual time slots for CIP.
Then there's GYM!
And P2BS! I remember how we rushed Sixin to finish drawing the board so that we can take a photo.
Remember that one random day where we got choosen to play the life sized board game for Y4 CID work?
Remember how glad were we when we found out we had Speech and Drama? Then there's the first 5 lessons of even numbers at drama room, then switching. But we didn't switch in the end, right? I miss the games we played!
Then there's Teachers' Day, where we had to play chaptek and hula hoop? LOL
And Mid Autumn!
We worked super hard for the lantern, but didn't win anything in the end D: Remember how Zheng Lao Shi took photos for us? Her epic way of counting down. And when we went to the Grandstand with our lanterns? The "H" we formed with our lanterns?
OMG, just remember Zijun and her tidan chicken! Then there's the chilliketchup? OMG, I love the LJS at commonwealth :D
Remember our epic Chinese Calligraphy lesson? The teacher's scolding that always make us burst out in laughter, causing her to scold us again, and we'll laugh again. A vicious cycle.
Somewhere here, there's the learning journey to Peranakan Musuem, which again, I didn't go with y'all cause of CCA. Y'all took class pics, but I wasn't there.
Then there's the 1D camp, where I didn't participate in some games, for some reasons. Watching y'all play the water game blindfolded was fun. Then there's the scavenger hunt for items from A-Z. And the multi level captain's ball, with a chicken, right? There was a skit, right? Although I got really frustrated with the preparations for the skit, everything worked out in the end. <3
And the cartoonist who came to our school and taught us the big head small body rule. The tortoise!
There's also that one random day where we had to make a costume out of recycled materials, and Jeline was the model?
Our last PSS in the hall. We missed lesson because of it! The mass dance which totally brought us back to orientation.
And the last event as 1H'09, class outing! <3 It was damn awesome. (Probably cause I wasn't the organiser) Elope at the pavilion, the sky ride, the luge, the 4d thing, then dinner at vivo after that. Again, Wanxuan was there. :D
One year as 1H'09. I admit, I didn't like us then, CCA has always been my priority. But looking back now, I wished I spent more time with y'all. I wished I was with y'all during IU Day, at the Peranakan Musuem. I wished I like y'all more. But I guess it's too late to say so much now, there's no way to turn back time.
